Mr Ahmed Emam is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Microsurgeon with a specialist interest in limb reconstruction, major trauma, and microsurgery.
He is the Clinical Lead for the Orthoplastic Service at Swansea Bay University Health Board and the South Wales Major Trauma Network.
Mr Emam completed his initial surgical training at Alexandria University Hospital before moving to the UK, where he undertook higher surgical training in Bristol. He subsequently completed a fellowship in microsurgical breast reconstruction, followed by a further fellowship in limb reconstruction.
He is the Lead for the Microsurgery Fellowship at the Welsh Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery.
Mr Emam is currently Chair of the Trauma and Lower Limb Specialist Interest and Advisory Group (SIAG) within BAPRAS. He is also a Council Member of BAPRAS and a Trustee of BFIRST.
